Die Zahlen des Tages sind eindeutig nullnullsieben. Heute geht’s in die 50 Jahr Jubiläumsausstellung des Klassikers James Bond. Leider darf ich in der Ausstellung keine Fotos machen. Nur wenige Ausstellungsstücke außerhalb sind zum Fotografieren. Sind ganz interessante Einblicke in die Welt des Agenten. Die Geschichte von Ian Fleming und wie seine Erfahrungen seine Werke beeinflussten. Alle verschiedenen Schauspieler des Agenten. Von den Outfits, über die Waffen, über Q und M und Ms. Moneypenny bis hin zu den „Bösewichten“ ist alles in der Ausstellung zu sehen. Für Bond-Fans auf alle Fälle zu empfehlen. Macht richtig Spaß für eine gewisse Zeit sich in die Welt hinein zu versetzen.
Mittwoch ist wieder Rasttag, mit meiner Oma plaudern, ihr versuchen Sudoku bei zu bringen und die olympischen Spiele schauen.

Ich treffe mich mit meiner Cousine am Federation Square im Zentrum Melbournes. Von dort geht’s ans andere Ende der Stadt nach Upper Ferntree Gully zu den 1000 Steps. Die Thousand Steps sind einige kleine Wanderwege im Dandenong National Park, ein Stückchen Wald in einer Großstadt . Über etliche Stufen und eine Vielfalt an Gerüchen und Geräuschen geht’s ein paar hundert Höhenmeter bergauf. Man kann fast sagen, dass Menschenmassen an uns vorbei laufen, denn die Thousand Steps sind ein beliebter Trainingsort für locals. Am Weg hinunter spricht mich ein Mann an, woher ich denn sei und wir kommen ins Reden. Wir stehen ca. eine Stunde am Rand des schmalen Weges und reden mit ihm. Ich liebe es, man trifft jemanden im Wald und fängt an über alles mögliche zu reden. Ist irgendwie anders als daheim, wo man nur Small-talk führt.
Danach geht’s auf Umwegen, über Stock und Stein, wieder zurück ins Tal und auf den Heimweg.

Today’s numbers are clearly Double O Seven. Todays trip is to the 50 year anniversary Bond exhibition. Unfortunately no photos are allowed inside the exhibition. Only a few exhibits outside are for taking photographs. An interesting insight into the world of the agent. The story of Ian Fleming and how his experiences influenced his works. Every actor of the agent. Starting from their outfits, to their weapons, to Q and M and Ms. Moneypenny and ending with Bond’s enemies. For Bond fans definitely recommended. It was fun to put oneself into the world of Double O Seven for some time.
Wednesday is a day to rest again, talking with my grandmother, trying to teach her Sudoku and watching the Olympics.

I meet my cousin at Federation Square in the city center. From there we drive to the other end of Melbourne to Upper Ferntree Gully to see the 1000 Steps. The Thousand Steps are a few hiking trails in the Dandenong National Park, a forrest in a metropolis. We take the challenge of a few hundred meters of altitude, surrounded by a diversity of sounds and smells. You could say that crowds of people ran past us on the way, because the Thousand Steps is a popular training venue for locals. On our way down, a man asks me where I’m from and we start to talk. We just stand on the side of the narrow path down and we talk to him. I love it, you meet someone in the forrest and start talking to him about anything. Somehow different from home, where you stick with small talk.
Then we take a little detour through the woods, back down into the valley and drive back home.
