Heute ist zusammen r\u00e4umen und putzen angesagt, denn von heute Abend an bin ich nicht mehr der einzige „Austrialian“ in Australien. Mein Bruder kommt f\u00fcr drei Wochen nach Melbourne und meine Oma will alles perfekt sauber haben wenn er kommt (ich nat\u00fcrlich auch, aber ich bin nicht so pingelig wie sie :P).<\/p>\n

Samstag 22. Februar 2014<\/p>\n

Dadurch, dass mein Bruder die Reise und das Jet-Lag gut \u00fcberstanden hat, geht’s heute mit meinen Cousins zu einer Motocross-Strecke um mit dem Dirtbike herum zu d\u00fcsen. Leider ist die Strecke gesperrt und wir m\u00fcssen uns mit der Wiese daneben zufrieden geben. Auch eine Challenge genug, denn diese Wiese wird genauso als Bike-Strecke verwendet und schaut dementsprechend schon aus. Nat\u00fcrlich achten wir auch auf die Sicherheit \ud83d\ude1b (Helm und lange Kleider sind dabei!!). Die Strecke ist teilweise eine Katastrophe, aber es hat trotzdem Spa\u00df gemacht!<\/p>\n

Am Abend geht’s Richtung Stadtzentrum. Heute ist die sogenannte „White Night“ in Melbourne. Die White Night ist ein Event direkt im Stadtzentrum, bei dem sich die bekanntesten Geb\u00e4ude der Stadt in Kunstwerke verwandeln, \u00fcberall Stra\u00dfenmusiker und K\u00fcnstler zu finden sind, die Menschenmassen zum Tanzen gebracht werden und ca. eine halbe Million Menschen sich im engsten nur denkbaren Raum t\u00fcmmeln.<\/p>\n

Die Stimmung dort ist ein Wahnsinn! Menschen die Spa\u00df haben und einfach nur die Zeit genie\u00dfen. Sogar (fast) ohne Alkohol, denn es gilt \u00f6ffentliches Alkoholverbot. Wir k\u00e4mpfen uns den Weg von K\u00fcnstler zu K\u00fcnstler frei und genie\u00dfen was uns geboten wird. (langsamster Fortschritt: 100meter\/15min). Bin mir sicher, dass ein solches Event in \u00d6sterreich auch ankommen w\u00fcrde. Uns hats voll gefallen. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Friday, February 21st 2014<\/p>\n

Today I have some cleaning up to do, because I won’t be the only Austrialian in Australia anymore. My brother is staying in Melbourne for three weeks and my grandmother wants everything perfectly tidy when he comes\u00a0(me as well of course, but I’m not as finical as she is :P).<\/p>\n

Saturday February 22nd Februar<\/p>\n

Since my brother did not have any difficulties adjusting to the time and got over the Jet-Lag quite good, my cousins took us to a motocross track to ride the dirt bike. Unfortunately the track is closed and the lawn next to it has to do the job of satisfying us. It’s still pretty fun riding it, since its been used as a bike track quite often and it has its bumps and holes (some areas are catastrophic but thats ok). Helmet and long clothes are included for our safety of course! \ud83d\ude1b<\/p>\n

In the evening we drive towards the city centre. It’s the so called „White Night“ in Melbourne today. White Night this event situated in the city, where Melbourne’s most famous buildings turn into paintings. The streets are filled with buskers and artists, the crowds just start dancing and about half a million people gather on the smallest possible area.<\/p>\n

The atmosphere is just amazing! People having fun and enjoying their time. Even (almost) without alcohol, since drinking in public is prohibited. We fight our way through the crowds to get from one artist to the next and enjoy what we get to see or hear. (slowest progress: 100 meters \/ 15 min) I’m pretty sure an event like this would come across in Austria. We liked it! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
