Sonntag 9. Februar 2014<\/span><\/p>\n

Heute fr\u00fch bin ich mit meinem Onkel Richtung Ballarat gefahren. Etwa eine Autostunde von Melbourne entfernt hat meine Familie ein 20 Hektar gro\u00dfes Grundst\u00fcck im Wald\/Busch, wie man es auch nennen will. Mein Gro\u00dfvater hat vor Jahren begonnen dort eine kleine H\u00fctte zu bauen und jetzt steht dort die H\u00fctte, welche \u00fcber die Jahre hinweg gewachsen ist, 4 weitere H\u00fctten, ca. 10 Autos, ca. 5 Motorr\u00e4der und jede Menge Ramsch, der sich angesammelt hat. Meine Cousins kommen immer wieder her um mit den Motorr\u00e4dern herum zu d\u00fcsen, f\u00fcr ein Lagerfeuer und um in einem der zwei Teichen schwimmen zu gehen.<\/p>\n

Der Grund warum wir hingefahren sind, war ein alter, in einen Wohnwagen umgebauter Schulbus. Er brauchte den Bus in Melbourne. Und da hat er mich mit dem Bus nach Melbourne zur\u00fcckfahren lassen, er ist nur ca. einen Meter l\u00e4nger als die Rettungsautos, welche ich beim Roten Kreuz fahre, deshalb war das nicht die gro\u00dfe Schwierigkeit. Jedoch ist es schon eine Umstellung das Lenkrad auf der anderen Seite zu haben und dann noch auf der anderen Stra\u00dfenseite fahren. Das schwierigste dabei sind aber die Kreuzungen und das Schauen. Ich wei\u00df nie wo ich zuerst hinschauen soll. \u00a0Alles nur eine Frage der \u00dcbung.<\/p>\n

Montag 10. Februar 2014<\/p>\n

Ich stehe in einer langen Schlange und bin der aller letzte! Einer nach dem anderen geht durch die T\u00fcr, ich habe keine Ahnung was mich erwartet. Ich bin dran, ab durch die T\u00fcr. Steht eine Polizistin vor mir und schreit mich an: Go, stand at the wall! Next to the other men! (Geh, stell dich an die Wand! Neben die anderen M\u00e4nner!). Wo bin ich da wieder hinein geraten. Einer nach dem anderen gehen wir durch den Gang. Wir d\u00fcrfen nur Seargant zu ihr sagen. Die Polizistin fragt jeden einzeln nach Name und warum er\/sie verhaftet worden ist. Als ich an der Reihe bin: Diebstahl, Sergeant! Nach langer B\u00fcrokratie muss ich mich noch f\u00fcr ein Foto hinstellen und dann geht\u2019s schon in die Zelle! M\u00e4nner links, Frauen rechts.<\/p>\n

Eingesperrt!<\/b> F\u00fcr wie lange muss ich wohl hier sitzen? Ich wei\u00df es nicht, der Sergeant hat nicht gerade so gewirkt als ob das nur ein kurzer Aufenthalt wird, aber zumindest hab ich Gesellschaft und ein Essen! Es kommt mir vor als w\u00e4ren es Stunden!<\/p>\n

Ah! Endlich geht die Zelle auf! Die Frau Sergeant l\u00e4sst uns raus! \u201eAb jetzt sind Fotos erlaub\u201c, sagt sie! Das war der interaktive Teil des Old Melbourne Gef\u00e4ngnis. Die F\u00fchrung geht noch kurz weiter, aber dann ist Eigeninitiative gefragt.<\/p>\n

Ab ins andere Geb\u00e4ude des Gef\u00e4ngnisses. Viel Geschichte \u00fcber H\u00e4ftlinge, das Gef\u00e4ngnis, die Todesstrafe und \u00fcber die Verwendung des Gef\u00e4ngnisses im 2. WK. War wirklich interessant, doch nach ca. 2 Stunden mit so einem dunklen Thema hatte ich dann genug. Dann bin ich Richtung Melbourne Hafen gefahren. Dort den Nachmittag noch ausklingen lassen, die Docks entlang gehen und ein Eis genie\u00dfen.<\/p>\n

Sunday February 9th 2014<\/p>\n

In the morning me and my uncle drove towards Ballarat. My family owns a 20 acre property about an hour away from Melbourne in the middle of nowhere! We call it the Bush. My grandfather started with building a hut and now there is the hut which grew over the years, 4 other huts, about 10 cars, 5 motorbikes and a lot of other things. My cousins come here every now and then to take the bikes for a ride, a camp fire and to swim in one of two ponds.<\/p>\n

The reason why we went there today, was an old schoolbus, which has been built into a camper van. He needed the bus in Melbourne. So I drove the bus back to Melbourne. It\u2019s only about a meter longer than the ambulance cars, which I used to drive, so that wasn\u2019t a big problem. But having the stearing wheel on the other side and driving on the other side is a bit weird. The dificult parts are the crossings and watching the traffic, I never know where to look first. But that is only a matter of practise.<\/p>\n

Monday February 10th 2014<\/p>\n

I stand in a long queue, I am the last one! They all go through this door, one after the other, I have no idea what is going to happen! My turn – through the door. A police officer infront of me. Shouts at me: Go, stand at the wall! Next to the other men! What did I get into now? One after the other we go through the hall way. We are only allowed to call her Sergeant. The Sergeant asks everyones name and the reason why he\/she was arrested. It\u2019s my turn: Theft, Sergeant! A long process of byrocracy, then I have to stand there for a photo and she leads us into the cells. Men to the left, women to the right! Arrested! <\/b>How long will I have to sit here? I don\u2019t know, the Sergeant seemed to be prepared for a longer stay. But at least I got good company and some food! It feels like hours have passed! Ah! Finally the cell opens! The Sergeant let us out! \u201eFeel free to take photos now!\u201c she says. This was the interactive part of the Old Melbourne Gaol. The tour goes on for a bit, but the rest is for self explorance.<\/p>\n

Back to the other building of the gaol. A lot of information about inmates, the Gaol, death penalty and the usage of the gaol, during WWII. Was interesting, but after two hours of such a dark topic I have enough.<\/p>\n

I drove to the Melbourne City Marina. I had an ice cream, walked around the docks and enjoyed the late afternoon.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
