Endlich in Melbourne. Mein Onkel holt mich vom Flughafen ab und wir fahren zu meiner Gro\u00dfmutter. Es ist schon ganz sch\u00f6n ein Schock von \u00d6sterreich mit 0\u00b0C kommen und auf einmal hat es 28\u00b0C. Dann fahren die Australier auch noch auf der anderen Seite und die Leute sind alle so freundlich! Ganz sch\u00f6n gew\u00f6hnungsbed\u00fcrftig. Durch meinen Stop-over in Perth habe ich das Jet-Lag ganz gut \u00fcberwinden k\u00f6nnen. Bin zwar noch immer ein bisschen m\u00fcde, aber tags\u00fcber geht\u2019s mir relativ lange gut.<\/p>\n
Am Sonntag ist Australia Day und der Geburtstag von meiner Oma. Es sind fast alle ihre Kinder und Enkelkinder da. Zumindest jene, die nicht weit weg wohnen! Es gibt ein Barbecue und es wird geplaudert und gelacht. Aber eins versteh ich nicht. Die Australier haben am Montag arbeitsfrei, weil der Feiertag auf einen Sonntag f\u00e4llt. Wer macht so was? Das macht doch gar keinen Sinn!? Ich will doch ein gewisses Datum ehren und nicht den Tag danach.\u00a0 Naja, gewisse Sachen muss ich ja nicht verstehen.<\/p>\n
Am Montag hat mich mein Cousin eingeladen mit ihnen Jet-Ski zu fahren. Aber es ist ziemlich windig drau\u00dfen, schauen wir einmal wie es wird.<\/span><\/p>\n Finally in Melbourne. My uncle picked me up from the airport and we drove to my grandmothers place. It\u2019s quite a shock coming from Austria with 0\u00b0C and here it has 28\u00b0C.\u00a0 An then the aussies drive on the wrong side of the road and they are all so friendly! That\u2019s something to get used to. Due to my stop-over in Perth I managed the jet-lag quite well. Although I\u2019m still a bit tired, but during the day I\u2019m fine.<\/p>\n On Sunday was Australia Day and the birthday of my grandmother. Nearly all her kids and grand-kids came. At least those, not living to far away from her! We have barbecue and we talk and laugh. But there is one thing I don\u2019t understand. The aussies got the Monday off, because their holiday is on a Sunday. Who does that? That doesn\u2019t make any sense! I want to honor a specific date and not the day after. Well, I don\u2019t have to understand everything.<\/p>\n My cousin invited me to go Jet-skiing with them on Monday.
